I’m Pierre, the founder of French Moments, a family-run business that started while we were living in sunny Sydney, Australia.
My wife Rachel and I launched our first website in 2008 to promote our French language centre on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
But something unexpected happened—we started writing about French culture and sightseeing, and people from all over the world, especially from the US and UK, started tuning in!
When we decided to move back to Europe, we closed our language centre but kept the website alive.
Today, French Moments has become a go-to resource for Francophiles eager to dive into everything that makes France special: history, culture, food, the language—you name it!
As of 2025, we’ve got over 1,280 blog posts for you to explore. Yes, that’s a lot of reading, but hey, no rush!
We’ve also expanded with other travel blogs in French: mon-grand-est.fr, focused on Eastern France, and destinationangleterre.com, for those who fancy the south of England.
Oh, and did I mention? Everything on frenchmoments.eu is completely FREE!
