In my opinion, the best way to see the Eiffel Tower is on a dinner cruise on the Seine. The tower is beautifully lit up. It is absolutely not worth it to go right to the base of it during the day. There are so many scammers.
I completely see your point! The Eiffel Tower at night from the Seine is stunning—there’s something truly special about seeing it sparkle from the water. (one of my favorite vantage point is on the right bank, between Pont de la Concorde and Pont Alexandre III). And yes, the area around the base can be overwhelming during the day. That’s exactly why I love exploring the lesser-known monuments of Paris—so much history and beauty, without the crowds!
